Navy Brat

My dad has been in the Navy almost his whole life and also my Aunts if you can believe that...We have a Long Standing History of the NAVY in my family that goes way back. My brother was almost born out at sea on a Navy Ship...Lucky we docked and he was born in a Newport Navy Hospital and I was born in a Navy Hospital in Florida. We traveled the world when we were younger as my father was stationed everywhere. We finally settled down in the state of Massachusetts.

When I saw this bracelet online I went on the Biggest scavenger hunt to find it....Excited to say it will be delivered to my house in 7-14 days YIPPEE.

Perfect for the Daughter of a Sailor ;)

Spend Life...

Today is my 7 SEVEN yes that's right 7 year Anniversary with my guy. Yes he is spectacular and he thinks I kinda Rock too!! Earlier I had written 8 on my Facebook page but was later corrected by him. Yes-He is also pretty funny too. I think he got a kick out of my mistake but the whole day I thought we were two years away from 10...Bummer. But we are getting there...Slowly crawling up the ladder of LOVE. I cant believe I have spent my entire 20's (adult life) with this man. It still baffles me! My teens came and went... then there was just him...My knight and shinning Armor....and I have been floating ever since.

I knew I loved him before I met him.

           Couldn't believe it when he was finally mine.

                      Was in a state of Bliss when he uttered the words "I LOVE YOU"

                                         Can't believe this is my life.

Today.

It's almost 1pm and I haven't really been able to get anything done....All I can think about is you! Monday's seem the longest because I had the luxury of being with you all weekend and now all I can think about is 6pm when we will give each other hello kisses, have dinner, snuggle on the couch and do are nightly routine...Together!! It's magical being in Crazy Love. I can't explain it....it's indescribable. I cant even comprehend that this is MY Life, this is how its going to be Forever. WOW I'm lucky and blessed.

Ralph is my Rock, he is so comforting whenever I'm feeling stressed, sick or any other crazy state I may be in. People have there things that comfort them when they are feeling shaky and mine is just him. It relaxes me just to look at him, really. I think he is used to it by now, sometimes he looks over and smiles and other times he doesn't even realize, I don't think I even realize that I'm doing it, just seeing his face is calming. There has to be others out there like me?? anyone? and if there are boy are you guys lucky!!

What can I say....Today I'm in serious LOVE! What a Beautiful thing to be.

                                                                           I Love You

You.

I don’t know if I could ever be without you because boy you complete me!

You're the One for me

You're the One I want to Marry

I will Never Doubt you

I Love everything about you

You have me Floating

You are it
FOREVER

Cadbury Nest

I Know New England weather is Crazy!! But to me it’s finally SPRING!!! I love the spring…it’s such a Magical time, birds chirping… Crisp clean air will start flowing through our windows…the soil will soften and I can begin my Garden!! I made my very first garden 2 years ago and loved it, moved to a lake house and only had beach sand (no garden for me) and now that we are in our new home I can’t wait to get my garden going. There was nothing better than picking green beans out of your own yard and cooking them for dinner!!

Keeping the Spring theme: Tonight Ralph and I are going to relax “in” and I’m making a roast dinner fit for a king with roasted carrots, potatoes and asparagus! Yum! We rented a few redbox movie’s and I made the most delicious "SPRING" snack!!

Birds’ Nests
Servings: 10
Ingredients
1 tablespoon of unsalted butter; to grease you muffin pan
½ a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup creamy peanut butter-
```That’s peanut butter in the picture but looks a little different…We don’t buy processed peanut butter and those are only roasted peanuts. Once you try it you will Never go back to processed peanut butter again! It’s so delicious. You can buy it at whole foods. Although any kind of peanut butter you have in your house will work J
Large bag of chow Mein noodles
30 mini Cadbury eggs
Instructions
1. Grease your muffin pan so that the “nest” won’t stick when you take them out.
2. In a microwave safe bowl melt your chocolate, I would do it in 20-30 second intervals so you don’t burn your chocolate.
3. When you chocolate is melted mix in the peanut butter until it is all combined and smooth.
4. Use a wooden spoon and mix in noodles. Be carefully don’t to crush them…You want them to look like sticks. ;)
5. Put a spoonful in each muffin hole, making a little spot to put eggs with your finger.
6.  Chill the nests until they are hard….around 30 minutes.
7.  Once they are chilled pop them out and place on a cute serving platter.
8.  Place three eggs Cadbury eggs on each nest…. Super Cute & Super Yummy!!!!
                                                           I have no Idea why this picture is Upside down...I've rotated 20 times, fixed it through photo-shop and through my blog and it Continues to be Upside down....SO I figured it was Ment to be! :o) Here is my silly Samuel Preston upside down!
I also made Deviled Eggs for Lunch...... Take a "Peep" hehe
My inspector Samuel Preston
Ingredients
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Whole peppercorns (for eyes)
  • Small baby carrot (for beak)
Directions
Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with enough water that there's 1 1/2 inches of water above the eggs. Heat on high until water begins to boil, then cover, turn the heat to low, and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and leave covered for 14 minutes, then rinse under cold water continuously for 1 minute.
Crack egg shells and carefully peel under cool running water. Gently dry with paper towels. Slice the eggs near the top, removing yolks to a medium bowl, and placing the whites on a serving platter. Mash the yolks into a fine crumble using a fork. Add mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
Evenly disperse heaping teaspoons of the yolk mixture into the egg whites.Place the top back on and add the peppercorn's for eyes and a piece of carrot for the beak.
I also whipped up these last week...Rice Crispy Treats with Grass and Bunny Eggs :o)
People are so Clever.... Who would have thought I would be doing a childhood hobby 15 years later!! Quickly remembering my skills from the "Friendship" Bracelets..... Hot Pink and Black it is.....Will Have to post pictures when I'm done....
What I will be attempting...
Logs and Tables
Now that spring is approaching I wanted to figure out the layout of the back yard.... We have a Patio set and I also picked up single chairs that we had at the Lake House...Now trying to find a purpose for them at the new house seems hard. Although I don't want to throw them out or have them sit in he basement. Table's that I have looked at have been to high to go next to the chairs (they are low beach chairs) but as I walked the dog in the woods I saw piles of wood stumps and thought those would be PERFECT for little tables next to the chairs....Did a little research and found a TON of great ideas for wood stumps!! There is a great website "Creative ideas and Before After" that I have become obsessed with.
Here is what the Ugly Log looks like...... and this is what it will Look like (Only outside) the perfect end table for our guest to place their drinks or food on. Now waiting till the weather gets a little warmer to work on it. Bringing a couple in the Garage to dry out a little...Hmmm wonder what Ralph will think when he gets home and opens the garage door hehehe :o)
The Best Part is they sell them at Pottery barn for Over 100 dollars and at West Elm for 200!!!!
and MINE ARE FREE!!!!!
 Yesterday I drove by a house with one of those old entertainment things that people use to have in there house's for "box" TV's, I was so tempted to pick it up but didn't. One: It was huge and the project I need it for may be a ways away and Two: Ralph would have probably called me a Hoarder.
I saw the most Magical DIY project on a blog actually called "Better After" that this Momma can't wait to do.....No I'm not pregnant...BUT my inner momma instincts tell me I will be making this for my Daughter...Or Son, because really who doesn't like to play in a Kitchen?! I have a feeling that when our little Grasshoppers enter this world Ralph will be very busy in the garage! I for one will take on the painting and details of this Fabulous project....No store bought plastic kitchen sets for our Kiddies...I wonder if Ralph could get real water flowing ....I think YES.
Take a Look at the few things that are going in my "Save" folder for future DIY Projects!!!
just you.
                                                                             Ralph.
*Today has been a busy crafty day...Ralph is so cute as he tries to help and add his tips where he thinks are needed. "Do those nail polishes look even?" as I was making some magnet boards. I can't begin to explain how much of a man's man he is, so when he makes comments like that it seriously warms my heart. Even though.... Of course they were even! hehe ;)
Love is a funny thing, it's a constant reminder of how great life is. Tonight as a skim through my pictures online for tomorrow "Scrap-booking" project I cant help but to smile at Ralph and I's life together. We are two fools in love, and I want nothing else in this world. just him.
I LOVE PEDICURES!!! I give myself a pedicure 3 to 4 times a month...So I wanted something functional that would allow me to Organize my polish and tools! The Magnetic Board is Perfect, I took an Old frame and glued a piece of metal in the inside. Covered the metal with a funky cheetah print and added Pink decals and Ribbon on the outer edges. All the nail polishes required two mini circle magnet tabs but they are very secure on the board and are not going anywhere (they all fell off when I went to hang it with just one magnet). I have a little cheetah bin that holds my pedicure slippers and supplies for the Pedicure and Paraffin Tub I have.
As most of you know I moved so I am currently in the Process of making a new "Dressing Room" where I will hang all my new Boards and Organize my other Beauty Products...Pictures to come soon.  To see a How to on "How to make these Boards, you can check out my Make-Up Boards HERE"
Until Then.....
Magnetic Make-Up Board
This morning in another attempt to put on my make-up in the ten minutes I had before I had to fly out the door, I couldn’t find my Mascara or my Eyelash Curler…How frustrating. I realized I needed a better system, so after I ran a few errands I headed to the craft store with an idea in mind. Ever since I made the Magnetic Dinner Board I have went on a Magnet Craze!!! I had two picture frames that I have wanted to use for a project because they match nothing in our house….That’s were the Magnetic Make-Up Boards come into play!
YOU CAN FOLLOW ME ON PINTEREST HERE for recent blog updates and more DIY Projects :o)
What you will need:
Old Frames
Sheet Metal
Hot Glue Gun
Scrap booking Paper for the background
Magnet's (The magnetic tape doesn’t work, I tried and the makeup just slides down)
Spray Paint (If you want to change the Frame Color)
 Hot Glue the Back of the Metal piece....I got mine at Home Depot for around 4 dollars and had them cut it for me :o)
 Pick out a few pieces of scrap booking paper you like or that match where you are planning on hanging your Make-Up Board. That's the fun part.....The Frame is actually a little more gold than Silver so I will be spray painting the frame.
 It's so nice to Organize your Make-up; there is nothing worse than having hundreds of Dollars worth of make-up thrown in a bin. As the seasons change I will swap out different colors by adding magnets to the back and sticking them on the board.
 So excited to Hang up My Make-up Board in my Bathroom, Easy access right next to the Mirror and Sink
 I made a make shift pocket by using a piece of scrap booking paper and gluing the bottom and sides while leaving the top open to but my eyebrow brushes in there.
 Both Boards Complete!!! :o)
HERE IS WHAT THE BACK'S LOOK LIKE!!!!
 This is the most exciting part..... The Pictures I bought about 6 years ago at an Estate Sale for around 6 dollars each. When I opened them up I noticed chalk on my fingers from the pictures and flipped them over and found this...... I'm excited to do some research to find the artist and story behind these handcrafted pictures!!!!!
 If you make your own make-up board remember to be thrifty find your frames at yard sales for a $1, Sheet Metal $4, spray paint the frame ($2 dollars for spray paint) Buy a couple of pieces of scrapbook paper ($1) and Magnet Tabs ($2) And you have a Super Cute Magnetic Make-Up Board that Organizes everything you need on a daily bases!!
These are a Couple Of Fun Ones I made:
Dont forget to check out my Magnetic Pedicure Boards too :o)
