Fall in Full Swing: Busy Schedules, Big Birthdays & So Much to Be Thankful For 🍂

There’s something about fall in New England that just hits differently. The crisp mornings, colorful leaves, pumpkin everything, cozy sweatshirts, and weekends that seem to fly by in the blink of an eye. Before we know it, the holidays will be here, and I’m already wondering where the time went!

Fall is officially in full swing in our house, and between sports, theater, school, and celebrating two very special birthdays, our calendar has been PACKED. But honestly? As crazy as this time of year gets, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

One thing that’s been on my mind lately, especially as the girls get older, is thinking about our family’s future and the importance of being prepared for the unexpected. It’s why I’ve been learning more about term life insurance and options for protecting your family. As parents, we spend so much time planning for birthdays, school, activities, and all the exciting milestones ahead that it’s easy to forget about the bigger picture, too!

Volleyball, Theater & All the Things!

If you’ve been following along, you know that our fall has been full of activities! Sophia has been busy with volleyball, and watching her grow in a new sport has been one of my favorite parts of the season. There’s something so special about seeing your child discover something they love, work hard, build friendships, and become part of a team.

Between practices, games, team memories, and cheering from the sidelines, volleyball has definitely kept us busy!

Meanwhile, Arabella has been spending her time immersed in the world of theater. From rehearsals to learning lines and preparing for performances, she’s been loving every minute of being involved in the arts. Theater brings so much creativity, confidence, and friendship into her life, and I love watching her excitement as the big performance gets closer.

Our evenings often involve coordinating schedules, figuring out who needs to be where, and making sure everyone has what they need before rushing out the door. Sound familiar? 😂

It’s a busy season, but these are the moments I know we’ll look back on someday and miss.

TWO Big Birthdays This Fall! 🎂

As if our calendar needed anything else added to it, October brought us two HUGE milestones!

Sophia turned 13, officially entering her teenage years, and Arabella celebrated her 10th birthday!

How did that happen?!

I swear I blinked, and suddenly my girls are growing into these incredible people with their own interests, friendships, personalities, and dreams. One minute we’re celebrating little-kid milestones, and the next we’re talking about teenage years, middle school memories, theater productions, sports seasons, and everything that comes with growing up.

Sophia’s 13th birthday was definitely one of those moments that made me stop and think about how quickly time passes. And Arabella turning 10 was another reminder that the little years really don’t last forever.

We celebrated with family, friends, birthday treats, and all the little things that make birthdays special. These are the memories I want to hold onto forever!

Being their mom is my favorite thing in the world, and even though I sometimes wish time would slow down just a little, I’m so excited to see all the wonderful things ahead for them.

Finding the Magic in the Little Things 🍁

One of my favorite things about living in New England is that every season brings something special, but fall will always have my heart.

From pumpkin patches and colorful foliage to cozy nights at home, fall traditions have a way of making even the busiest weeks feel a little more magical.

We’re trying to squeeze in as much seasonal fun as possible before winter arrives. Whether it’s enjoying the beautiful leaves, decorating pumpkins, spending time outside on a gorgeous afternoon, or simply slowing down for a cozy evening at home, these little moments are what make this time of year so special.

If you’re looking for a few ideas to make the most of the season, here are some resources I love:

Thinking About the Future While Enjoying Today

Something about watching your children grow makes you think differently about the future.

When they’re little, so much of parenting is focused on the day-to-day things: getting everyone dressed, packing lunches, making it to school on time, and keeping up with the endless activities. Then suddenly, you’re celebrating double-digit birthdays, watching your kids develop their passions, and realizing just how quickly the years are passing.

Lately, I’ve been thinking more about what it means to plan ahead for our family. We plan for birthdays, vacations, school expenses, and all the exciting things we hope our children will experience. But it’s also important to think about the financial steps we can take to help protect the people we love.

That’s one reason learning about term life insurance caught my attention. Term life insurance is designed to provide life insurance coverage for a specified period, subject to the policy’s terms and conditions. For families who are exploring their options, understanding how it works can be a helpful starting point.

Of course, every family’s circumstances are different, and it’s important to understand the coverage, costs, eligibility requirements, and policy details before making a decision.

For me, it’s really about being thoughtful about the future while making the most of the present. I want to be there for all the volleyball games, theater performances, birthdays, graduations, and whatever adventures life has in store for our girls. And I want to feel confident that we’re taking responsible steps to prepare for the future, too.

Here’s to a Beautiful Fall! 🤎

As we head into November, I’m reminding myself to slow down whenever I can, take the pictures, celebrate the little wins, and appreciate this season of life for exactly what it is.

The busy schedules won’t last forever. The girls will keep growing, new activities and adventures will come along, and before we know it, we’ll be trading fall leaves for snowflakes and holiday traditions.

For now, I’m soaking up every minute of this beautiful, chaotic, memory-filled season.

Here’s to volleyball games, theater rehearsals, two incredible birthday girls, cozy New England days, and all the little moments that make life so special.

And here’s to taking care of our families today while keeping tomorrow in mind. ❤️

Happy November, everyone! What’s keeping your family busy this fall?
