Nate & Jake Co.

Nate & Jake Co Rocks our world!!

I was ecstatic when I was given the opportunity to do a review from one of our favorite baby clothing designers Nate & Jake Co.  You will fall in love with these adorable threads, I can assure you!

We received the Green Skirt, Made out of soft sweater knit poly cotton blend. Elastic back.
Fit is intended to be mini skirt length...and I'm OBSESSED! I love that the material is super soft and comfy but still keeps my little Sophie trendy! We are currently having a never ending winter here in New England but it can be paired with adorable leggings. Although So just Rocks her mini around the house because this momma keeps the heat cranked up in here! This Skirt has my heart screaming for Spring! The perfect staple for her wardrobe.

We also received the pink square top. I can't even handle the cuteness of this top! It is made out of cotton poly blend. but Please Note: This fabric has no stretch. If your child is in between sizes they suggest your size up! It fits Sophia perfectly. I love how it hangs off her shoulder when she is busy in her playroom or taking care of her babies! Swoon! I could really go crazy over at their shop... The yellow penguin top and rompers have my heart skipping a beat

Here is a little bit about the masterminds behind the brand, "Nate & Jake Co. is a mother and daughter duo from Phoenix, Arizona. Everything in our site is designed & handmade by us. We strive to make unique and trendy items for you little loves with high quality materials. Oh how I love that it is a mother daughter duo! Every single piece in their collection has stolen my heart! Nate & Jake Co. makes their clothes true to size but there is a little give within that to grow. It was a perfect fit but knowing Sophia is in the 99% for height I know the time will come when we will need certain clothes to fit her height. Not a problem if we shop with Nate & Jake Co. as they will adjust sizes for no extra charge. Just contact them and let them know whether your little one is slim, husky, or extra tall like my dolly! They truly have the best costumer service and can answer any questions you may have!

Kinder Kreations Review

Sweet Little So and I have fallen in Love…with Kinder Kreations!!
How many times have I said “I hate Bibs” , MANY, like I legit thought they were the ugliest thing, and swore I would never put one on “my baby”…Until I gave birth to the spittiest baby EVER. I’m not kidding when I tell you I used to change her outfits 25 times a day (and not for fashion purposes). My whole I hate bibs thing went right out the window. Although I still disliked them…never liking that they ruined all sense of “fashion” when it came too little Sophia’s massive array of clothing.

That was until I was introduced to the Bandana Bib!!! I think it is the cutest accessory to So’s outfits!!! Its stylish cut and simple stripe print, fit so many of her outfits. And the real purpose…IT KEEPS HER CLOTHES DRY!!! It is such a great quality, we are overjoyed with it! The 100% organic cotton is so absorbent and we just throw it in the wash and hang to dry at the end of the day. Here is a picture of Proof...You can't stage that HAHAHA

From the Creator of KINDER KREATIONS: “Made from soft, 100% organic cotton this gender friendly, stylish bandana bib will sit comfortably (and loosely) around your little one's neck. With velcro purposely being use to attach the ends together, it makes the bib that much more safer being around your child's neck. This versatile bib was finished with an inside seam, thus making it a great scarf for your older child. Fits most babies/kids in the selected age category.

To clean your bandana bib, I recommend washing it warm water and hang to dry. * For safety reasons, please supervise your child when wearing their bandana bib*

Kinder Kreations was inspired by my little boy and my European background. It is a shop that started out as a hobby for me which quickly grew into a small business on Etsy. Kinder Kreations is geared towards children with products that range from scarves to tutus. I first started out making infinity scarves, and still do, and now it has moved to bibs and tutus! There will be more items coming to Kinder Kreations within the next few months. They include printed tees, more bibs and sleeping bags for children.”

Stop by Kinder Kreations Etsy Shop HERE and Spread the word. It also makes the perfect Baby Shower gift…This momma cant rave enough!!

I received this product free for review purposes although all opinions are 100% honest.

Pink Lining Diaper Bag Review

Ever since Sophia was born I’ve noticed that all the “new moms” have the same gear. Whether its bibs, binkies’, burp cloths, clothes, even diaper bags. I found it amusing when I took Sophia to the Mall and in the play area there were three diaper bags all lined up (including mine) that were identical.  At first I thought “wow that’s great it must be a popular bag.” Then I loaded up the car shortly after and panicked when I didn’t see Sophia's “wubbanubba” her binkie in the front pocket! My mind raced as I thought I had lost all my personal belongings, credit cards, wallet, cell phone, you name it! Someone had taken my bag. Just as quickly as the fear took over me, a huge sigh of relief. ..Sophia’s “wubbanubba” was in her mouth!! Duh! Panic averted, I had the right bag!

But it got me thinking…

Spring is on its way and I know I will be at the park, a lot! I enjoy being outside and I know this baby will enjoy the sights and sounds even if she can’t run around yet! I don’t want the same mishap to happen…I want UNIQUE!! I set out to find the perfect Spring Diaper bag… Then came along PINK LINING!!! The most magical diaper bag company on the market!!

I chose the Yummy Mummy bag. It's beautiful!! I was instantly sold on the adorable cupcake on the front pocket with cute cursive embroidery above it saying Yummy Mummy. I am a huge water drinker so the two side pockets are perfect, and they have elastic so it won’t come flying out while I’m trying to wrangle my squirming baby. I also love that the shoulder strap is optional. I love the convenience of having one but love that I can take it off when I just want to have a cute bag to take out to dinner. Bonus: The optional strap is adjustable and it fits on my stroller!!  Open up the bag and it’s a Hot Pink Heaven!!! I ADORE the inside of this bag, not only does it have insulated bottle holders…that I will most definitely use for my thermos for hot soup or hot cocoa but it has a clear cupcake zipper bag, which really could be used for anything but in my case will be soiled clothes. Sophia is a super spitty baby and I change her constantly. I love that I can throw her dirty clothes in there and keep everything else clean!

Did I mention that Sophia is prissy? This girl needs luxury to the full degree!! In our old diaper bag we had a thin flimsy changing pad; Sophia would wail every time she needed a quick change, The Yummy Mummy comes with a luxurious changing pad, its triple the thickness of my other one. The quality in this bag is superb. I can’t rave enough about it. I’m also a sucker for the little things, I adore the pen holder and the clip on mirror, perfect to touch up your make-up or truthfully to see if I have baby spit up on my face (Life of a Mom!!) There are lots of pockets two big ones for diapers and even a zipper pocket. Did I mention that there is a key fob…I ALWAYS lose my keys, so this feature excites me!!

I’m a sucker for organization and this bag unknowingly has taught me a lot about functionality. Digging through a diaper bag searching for items while your new baby cries and everyone is starring can be quit frustrating. This bag for sure is about having the right things available at the RIGHT TIME!! No more juggling for this momma. Overjoyed with the quality of this beautifully crafted diaper bag!!

Life with So

Sorry all...I've been a total baby hog!!! Oh and this baby has put me through the ringer!!
So I've been busy recovering- everything from vision loss to organ loss! Yes I said it, organ loss.
Although who needs a gall bladder anyway?!?! Other than a few hiccups she was worth every bit of
bodily torture. Oh and my hubs, he is a superstar and really is the most amazing man ever.
Not that I ever doubted that he would step up, but boy does that man deserve a trophy!
I don't think it's physically possible to love another human being the way I love him
and our 13 pound spicy monkey whom we call SO.

Our little Sophia has set our rather boring existence on fire. We love it! I think we always had it in us, this whole parenting gene, we embrace it whole heartedly. I think if we could both be stay at home parents we would. Ralph recently took another week off of work when I had my surgery and I legit ugly cried when he went back. You would have thought the world was ending, I just love being home with him, our girl and two crazy puppy's!

Life with So:

Is surreal, sometimes I still can't believe she is mine! I really can't even wrap my brain around the fact that in a few days she will be three months! Our days start off with, me waking her up. Yes, I HAVE TO WAKE UP MY NEW BABY!! God has blessed me with a sleeper. Like a teenage sleeper that would sleep the day away if I let her. I usually let her sleep until 9:30-10. We get up, I change her diaper then I put her in her bouncy chair and I take the dogs out/feed them breakfast. Then I nurse Sophia, that girl loves MILK! Or let's just face the facts; my boobs!!! Can babies have an "addiction" if so, that is one. And she is not so discrete with it either, God forbid I put a light blanket or covering over her when friends/family are over or we are out at a store. My little breast feeding activist throws a fit, she wants the whole world to know what she is up too, and likes to look around smiling while doing so. I either have to learn to embrace my strong willed child or never leave the house. I've learned to embrace!

The rest of the day is pretty much an adventure; we don't really have a structured day because she is not on a routine yet, “Time Wise.” Although I have to admit the teacher in me is dying for a “Time” routine. We do our fair share of "circle time" where I sing her songs, read books, do shapes and even puppet shows (with dog toys, HA!) my little sponge is soaking it all in, and by her facial expressions, usually huge grins, I can tell she is enjoying it. Ralph and I started reading to her since the day she came home for the hospital!! Never to early, I think. Between teaching, tummy time, a few cat naps here and there, and cuddling/ nursing/changing. I pretty much have no "time" the days seem to really fly by… I do manage to pick up the house and have dinner going. And with an infant those oh so fancy meals I used to "whip up" sometimes consist of baked chicken, rice and carrots three days straight or better yet take out from longhorn steak house, what can I say, raising a baby is hard work!

When Ralph gets home he usually takes the dogs for a much needed long walk, showers and plays/cuddles his little baby girl until dinner. We eat, So eats, dogs eat, they go out for a walk again and the we all head upstairs at around 6:30-7 for bedtime. Ralph turns on the heat fans in the master bathroom and I pick out Jammie's for the baby. When the bathroom is wicked toasty I fill up the Jacuzzi tub with warm water and bubbles. Favorite part of the day, "Mommy and Me Bubble Baths" Sophia, as much as she looks like Ralph, totally has MY Personality, girl loves to be pampered. We hop in and I have lullaby station on pandora playing and we RELAX. I bought her a fun chair that she likes to sit in and we both just soak in this quiet moment together. When the bubbles disappear I do this little skit, where I line up her three rubber ducky’s and drop them in the water one by one off the edge of the tub, and she smiles so big while letting out little cooing noises, sometimes little squeals of joy that sound like a high pitched scream. We are still waiting for that first belly laugh! I debated sharing this picture with the world but after analyzing it to make sure nothing is really showing, I just had to. This picture makes my heart smile, My little piece of Heaven. I just love it so…

After tubs it's mini massages with lotion and cozy Jammie's. We all get in bed, and watch some of our favorite shows. Last night was a good night, season premiere of American idol and Duck Dynasty!! Little Laky Lu (another nick name we have for our Sophia) sleeps peacefully in the middle, thankful we have a Cali King! We might try her crib in the future but for right now we want her with us. She sleeps through the whole night now too. I’m happy that I was able to catch up with you all, on to my next project for the day…Getting ready for FEBUARY, Valentine’s Day and our NINE year anniversary!

Here is some Baby Spam...of our Little Sophia Lakynn!!! Oh and in case your wondering her middle name is pronounced LAKE (like as in a lake you swim in) and IN  (Lake-In) LAKYNN and its super Rad ;) Her Momma thinks so...
